Indications of vaginal micrcronized Progesterone?/

Indications of Vaginal micronized  A) soft gel Capsule 100/ 200 mg or B) Vaginal Gel form  as 90 mg of progesterone.

Following are the “Guidelines published by RCOG,ACOG,EAFM,SOGC “-- all  such academic bodies  unanimously recommended that micronized progesterone or vaginal gel as progesterone have a definite role in prevention PTL  or retardation of Preterm labour(PTL/PTM); The recommendations of such distinguished academic bodies are as follows :

A)  100 mg Micro Progesteerone soft gel --When  to prescribe 100 mg  Micronized Progesterone soft gel and not 200mg unnecessarily  ? Indications are:-In women who had history of previous PTL. Such type prophylactic progesterone, based on history alone has been termed as “Early prophylaxis use of Progesterone”-which is imitated from 12 weeks –to 36 weeks of gestation. The decision of 10 mg vaginal soft gel or 17-OH progesterone from 12 weeks to 36 weeks (source:-Di Renzo GC et al: --The European Association of Perinatal Medicine Study Group on Preterm Birth-- Guideline for the management of spontaneous preterm birth .diagnosis,    identification of spont PTB, diagnosis of spont preterm rupture of membranes and preventive tools for PTB: J Maternal Foetal Neonatal  Med 2011; 24: 659-67.All such academic bodies have agreed irrespective of  sonological evidence of Cx dilatation or short Cx.
