What are Recombinant Gonadotrophins?

Write an essay on urinary gonadotrophin and U will receive your name enrolled automatically in National Population Register. Basically there are three kinds of Gonadototrophin available in the market.  Type A:--u-HMG (Please do remember such prepn contain both FSH & LH)  U- hMG(  from urine of menopausal women –Cheap but not as per  efficacy-such cheap is not poor . u-HMG contains urinary proteins  as well in addition to LH & FSH in 50:50 ratio= Brand names of u-FSG are Menotas-, GMH LUPI HMG, HUMOG Menodac vial) ) .
Some however don’t use this prepn in PCO as such prepn contains addl LH. Type B: -- LH-free FSH In PCO therefore many prefers p-FSH (urinary) containg LH-free FSH molecules by spl separation technique though this p-FSH also is from urinary source only. Again there is  a third group of fertility spl who uses costly p-FSH only  when LH exceeds > 20 but opinion differs,

Type C:-- The third kind of urinary gonadotrophins are  HP-FSH-means highly purified FSH= which don’t contain protein at all & minimal LH activity.  Often used -Brands are a) Stimufol HP),  b) Sitrodin(Serum Institute of India-SII )  c) Luprorin .
Fourth kind of  gonadotrophins (but this time not urinary source but by Recom technology) :- Recom FSH is  mostly manufactures abd dispensed like  Insulin pens/LMWH pens: Brand names are – 1) Folisurge, 2) Ovitrop 3) LUPI-rFSH
