Q. 2: At each cycle how many follicles are selected and undergo atresia? Ans:- This process of atresia is autonomous in nature and surprisingly even  if no preg or in unmarried state  or  if someone is taking OCP this phenomenon of recruitment and loss of follicles  continue to occur,.What is more  surprising if  she is in lactation period then also this atresia  process go on

 I am poor in Math. So my father (who passed away in 1964-was a doctor) asked me study Medicine. Otherwise I had the indentation tthat I shall be a hero in Mumbai cinema!!! At least that is still the suggestion from my granddaughters & grandson. Here is an easy Math.:-

Genetic) .In woman 30-40 follicles  are recruited  per cycle   But in  some women  this number  may as high as 100 follicles are recruited  per cycle .As  such they are prone to develop) POF/ DOR early by early thirties some . Now the Math. Accepting the fact that  30 to 40 follicles are recruited × 12  months a yr × 4 yrs  have elapsed since puberty =1920 follicles have been already lost passed  from menarche wasted.
Q.2: Whyminimla dose is required at a younger age of woman in Ov induction?? Ans:- better quality follicles (with good quality eggs) are exhausted in the first half of reproductive years followed by relatively inferior quality follicles. During this long journey from puberty to menopause, any trauma or insult (e.g. toxins liberated from MTB, mumps, oophoritis, etc.) to the ovary may lead to qualitative and quantitative loss of follicles— reducing ovarian reserve prematurely.
Q.3: The important members of autocrine- paracrine family consist of inhibin, activin, insulin-like growth factor, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), transforming growth factor alpha (TGF-a), etc. They play important role in modulating gonadotropic effects on ovarian function and ovulation.41'42 These co-ordinated ovarian endocrine functions are disrupted either directly
