The role of autonomous in the control of spermatogensis  &oogensis.:--Which autosomes control spermatogenesis & oogenesis too) The book remarks that 1652 genes are involved in meiotic division of pr. spermatocytes of which 351 genes only  are located  in Y chromosome .The  rest 1301 genes controlling spermatogenesis,  are located at Chr 5( p15.21)...,Chr 7 p21; & Chromosome 9p13.3.
The key nuclear enzyme involved in the elongation & repair of mitochondrial DNA strands is PILG. The catalytic subunit of POLG is encoded by POLG gene on Chromosome 15-q24.  
At present testing sperm for / inversions in males with abnormal sperm morphology or men with abnormal karyotypes is not recommended since the exact data set establishing threshold levels for % of sperms with abnormal karyotypes is not recommended . ?-(source :-Pl see book titled "Male infertility " Ed by Sijo J Parekttil et al Springer= Pp. 172, 181, 182.
