And proceed to enquire about F/H/O DM, image Liver(may or may not ovary) Exclude TSH, PRL(by gel  pot technique to find   out the quantum of  bio active PRL molecules) Post Glucose level, estimate BMI, lipid CRP , Homocysteine,. Not to  estimate androgens or P Penguin   PPL  Pl don’t hesitate to investigate the adolescent girl thoroughly & I presume in Indian currency initial investigations (listed below) it will be about 5,000/-.

Why a topic like PCO??
Because  PCO is a clinical  and public  health problem affecting up to one in five  women of reproductive age and magnitude of Indian Rs 100  cores are sent per day for Tr of subfertility, hormonal investigations, IVF, AUB, HTN, Dyslipidaemia, Endometrial ca, MI and above all DM with all its teeth &claws out by the 5th decade of  life.
