Phenotypes
of PCOS patients can be classified as follows: (A) hyperandrogenism,
oligoanovulation and polycystic ovaries by ultrasound; (B) hyperandrogenism and
oligoanovulation (and normal appearance of the ovaries by ultrasound); (C)
hyperandrogenism and polycystic ovaries by ultrasound (with regular ovulatory
menstrual cycles); and (D) oligoanovulation, and polycystic ovaries by
ultrasound (without hyperandrogenism).
